Starting December 14, 2024, new federal GST/HST regulations come into effect, which means changes to how taxes are applied at checkout.

The government is introducing a GST/HST holiday tax break to help families save on essential baby products during the holiday season.

What’s Changing?

Under the new regulations:

  • All purchases will include GST/HST based on your province of delivery, reflecting updated government requirements.
  • From December 14, 2024, to February 15, 2025, eligible baby items will qualify for a temporary tax exemption—no GST or HST will be applied to qualifying items during this period.

What’s the GST/HST Holiday Tax Break?

This government initiative is designed to ease financial pressures during the holiday season by making essential baby products more affordable.
